Robert Toombs House
Robert Toombs House Historic Site in Washington, Georgia, was the home of Robert Toombs, who was a U.S. representative and U.S. senator from Georgia as well as a Confederate general and Confederate secretary of state. Operated as a state historic site, the 19th-century period historic house museum also features exhibits about the life of Toombs.
The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.〔〔 and 〕
Hunter Jackson, local resident and celebrity, formerly worked as a tour guide giving young students and others the chance to learn more about Robert Toombs.
